પશ્ચિમ કાંઠે 8 જૂનથી અટકેલું ચોમાસુ આગળ વધશે, આગામી 48 કલાકોમાં મુંબઈમાં ચોમાસાની એન્ટ્રી. ગુજરાતમાં ચોમાસુ ક્યારે?

ચોમાસાની પ્રગતિ અંગે નોંધ

નીચે જણાવેલ કેટલાક વાતાવરણીય પરિબળો અનુકૂળ બનવાની સંભાવના જોતાં, દક્ષિણ-પશ્ચિમ ચોમાસું આગામી દિવસોમાં ફરી આગળ વધવાની શક્યતા છે,

1. વિષુવવૃત્ત પાર કરીને આવતા પવનોનો પ્રવાહ (Cross-equatorial flow) /સોમાલી જેટ 22 જૂન આસપાસ થી આવનારા દિવસોમાં ક્રમસહ  મજબૂત થવાની અપેક્ષા છે, જે ઉત્તર હિંદ મહાસાગરમાં ભેજનું વહન વધારશે અને એકંદર ચોમાસાના પરિભ્રમણને મજબૂત બનાવશે.
2. વિષુવવૃત્તીય રોસ્બી તરંગો (Equatorial Rossby waves) આગામી દિવસોમાં ઉત્તર હિંદ મહાસાગર તરફ આગળ વધવાની અપેક્ષા છે.
3. ઉપરોક્ત બંને પરિબળો સાથે મળીને બંગાળની ખાડી પર લો પ્રેશર (નીચા દબાણના ક્ષેત્ર)ના વિકાસ માટે પૂર્વગામી (precursor) તરીકે કામ કરે તેવી શક્યતા છે.

અપેક્ષિત પ્રગતિ

આગામી 48 કલાક દરમિયાન ચોમાસું મુંબઈ અને મધ્ય અરબી સમુદ્રના વધુ ભાગોમાં આગળ વધી શકે છે.

ગુજરાત રાજ્યમાં ચોમાસાની સંભવિત પ્રગતિ વિષે અંદાજ

ચોમાસું તા. 23 થી 30મી જૂન દરમિયાન દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતના ભાગોમાં અને 19-20°N થી ઉપર ઉત્તર-પૂર્વ અરબી સમુદ્રના કેટલાક ભાગોમાં આગળ વધી શકે છે.

ગુજરાત રાજ્યના વધુ ભાગોમાં ચોમાસાની  પ્રગતિ આગામી દિવસોમાં હવામાન પ્રણાલીઓ ક્યાં, કેવી રીતે વિકસે છે અને કઈ બાજુ આગળ વધે છે તેના પર આધાર રાખશે, જેવી કે:

1. વાતાવરણના મધ્ય લેવલે શેર ઝોન ની સ્થિતિ
2. મધ્ય અને ઉત્તર-પૂર્વ અરબી સમુદ્ર તથા આસપાસના વિસ્તારો પર UAC/ટ્રફ 
3. બંગાળની ખાડી પર સંભવિત LPA અને તે કઈ દિશામાં આગળ વધે છે
4. મોનસૂન / સિઝનલ ટ્રફની સ્થિતિ
5. ઓફ શોર ટ્રફની સ્થિતિ

એકંદરે, ચોમાસું 28/29 જૂનથી 6/7મી જુલાઈ દરમિયાન ગુજરાત રાજ્યના થોડા વધુ ભાગોમાં આગળ વધી શકે તે માટે અનુકૂળ પરિસ્થિતિઓનું નિર્માણ થઈ શકે તેવા સંકેતો મળી રહયા છે, જોકે ચોમાસાનું ગુજરાત રાજ્યના વધુ ભાગોમાં આગળ વધવું, ઉપરોક્ત જણાવેલ હવામાન પ્રણાલીઓના વિકાસ અને ઉત્ક્રાંતિ પર આધારિત છે.

નોંધ:- આ અંદાજ હાલની વાતાવરણીય પરિસ્થિતિઓના આધારિત છે, જેમાં ફેરફાર થઈ શકે છે, જો કોઈ ફેરફાર હશે તો અપડેટ દ્વારા જણાવવામાં આવશે

Note On Monsoon Progress

The southwest monsoon is likely to resume its advance over the coming days, with few atmospheric factors lining up in its favour:

1. Cross-equatorial flow/Low Level jet is expected to strengthen gradually after 22nd June, increasing moisture transport across the North Indian Ocean and reinforcing the overall monsoon circulation.
2. Equatorial Rossby waves are expected to propagate towards the North Indian Ocean in upcoming days.
3. Together, the above two factors are likely to act as precursors for the development of a low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal

Expected Progress,

This evolving setup is likely to nudge the southwest monsoon forward, Especially west branch of Monsoon which has been stalled around 18 N north since 8th June, Likely to move further along west coast.

Monsoon may advance into Mumbai and more parts of the central Arabian Sea during the next 48 hours.

Monsoon Outlook for Gujarat

Monsoon may move into parts of South Gujarat and a few parts of the northeast Arabian Sea above 20°N between 23rd and 30th June.

Further advancement over Gujarat will depend on how the weather systems develop and evolve,
particularly:

1.Position and evolution of shear zone at lower-mid-tropospheric levels.
2.The development of a UAC/trough over the central/northeast Arabian Sea and adjoining areas.
3.The probable formation of an LPA over the Bay of Bengal and its subsequent movement.
4.The position of the monsoon/seasonal trough.
5.Devlopment of Off shore trough and its extent

Overall, conditions may become favorable for further advance of Monsoon into more parts of Gujarat during 28th/29th June to 6th/7th July, which is subject to the development and evolution of above mentioned weather systems.
